How to use WillItFit

Draw the room, drag the furniture in, and see what actually fits — including whether you can still walk past it.
  1. Set the room first. Put your Width and Length into The room panel. Feet or metres, whichever you measured in — change it under Units.
  2. Drag furniture from the palette onto the plan. Pick a category, then drag the piece you want. Drag it back out to the palette to remove it.
  3. Tap a piece to select it. The Selected panel then lets you rename it and type its real Width and Depth in inches. ⭐Measure your actual sofa — the presets are only a starting point.
  4. Turn it. ↻ 90° and ↻ 45° for quick turns, or the rotation slider for any angle. 🧲 Snap lines pieces up with the walls and each other; switch it off if you want them exactly where you put them.
  5. Read the walkway check. This is the part most plans miss. It measures the real gaps between pieces and tells you where you would not be able to walk — 36″ for a main route, 30″ for a minor one, 32″ for a door to open.
  6. Keep it. 💾 Save room holds it on this device. 🖼 PNG gives you a picture to take to the shop. ⤓ Export backup writes a file you own.
The three views along the top do different jobs. ▦ Plan is the room. ⇿ Clearance shows the walking space rather than the furniture. ≡ Cut list is every piece and its size, in writing — that is the one to take shopping.
What it will not do. It draws exactly the numbers you type and never quietly corrects them, so a wrong measurement gives a confident wrong answer. It works in flat plan only — it knows nothing about height, so it cannot tell you whether something clears a windowsill, a radiator or a low ceiling. Measure twice; the app cannot check you.

WillItFit The trial ends, but your work does not — Export and PNG stay on the very screen that asks you to buy, so an afternoon's work is never held hostage. Bought once, so there is no subscription to be pushed into. Typed dimensions are never touched. The catalogue scrolls in its own box and cannot move the plan.

People aren't rating the furniture library. They're rating being asked to subscribe before they were shown anything, and then losing an afternoon's work to the very upgrade they paid for. Both of those are choices, not accidents.

It answers one question well

Not "does this look nice" — you can see that yourself. Will it fit, and can I get past it. Every layout is checked against real clearances and anything too tight is named, in inches.

Honest limits

Flat overhead plan, not 3D and not a render. It won't show you what the room feels like. It will tell you what fits and what you'll bark your shin on, which is the decision people are actually stuck on.

Your work is yours

Nothing here can be taken away from you. Every room lives in this browser, and Export gives you a file you own. When the trial ends the app does ask you to buy — but nothing you made is deleted, and Export and PNG sit on that very screen. There is no account and no moment at which your work could vanish.
